Latraviette Smith-Wilson is a visionary executive and one of Corporate America’s most sought-after leaders. With a remarkable 25-year career driving growth and transformation via corporate and brand strategy, marketing, and communications, she has shaped and propelled global brands at industry giants including Edelman, Deloitte, American Express, Sundial Brands/Unilever, ESSENCE, and Horizon Media. Known for her strategic acumen, she consistently builds brands with purpose and social impact at their core, challenging the status quo with her philosophy that “just because things are, doesn’t mean that’s the way they have to be.”
In 2022, Smith-Wilson made history at Horizon as the industry’s first Chief Marketing & Equity Officer. In this role, she leads a unified Marketing and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion function and established a groundbreaking business model that integrates DEI as a key driver of enterprise-wide growth and innovation. As a member of Horizon’s executive board and global task force, she is instrumental in shaping strategic vision, steering marketing initiatives, and accelerating the company’s market presence.

She serves on the boards of The Brotherhood Sister Sol (BroSis), a nonprofit focused on youth education and training, justice, and equity; Harlem United, a $42 million organization providing vital services to those facing homelessness, addiction, and mental illness; and Reisenbach Philanthropies, a nonprofit incubator and venture philanthropy focused onNewYorkCity. Her previous board roles include Ashley Stewart, Inc., and the PRSA Foundation, and she has served as a Diversity & Inclusion columnist for PR Week. A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she graduated from Wake Forest University with a double-major bachelor’s degree and received her master’s degree from New York University.
