Johanna Mayer-Jones is the Global Chief Advertising Officer for The Washington Post, leading The Post’s positioning as a key partner to clients while maintaining, embracing and empowering its commitment to news.
In her role, Johanna oversees client partnerships, revenue operations, data solutions, audience insights and professional offerings. Before joining The Post in July 2022, she served as the Senior Vice President of Partnerships for The Atlantic, where she led the publisher’s global sales and account management teams.
Johanna’s experience includes eight years at The Wall Street Journal in both Hong Kong and New York, building integrated client solutions through live journalism, custom content and more. Her deep industry knowledge also stems from time at the BBC, Menton and The Financial Times early in her career.
Johanna serves on the Board of Directors for The Ad Council and DCN and she has previously advised the Delta Project nonprofit as well as startups including QuickFrame
