D'Amelio Huskies Collective
Marc D’Amelio has been a successful business professional and entrepreneur for over 30 years. He began his career in 1991 after graduating from the University of Connecticut. Throughout his career, Marc has collaborated with some of the most renowned apparel, footwear, and accessory brands in the world. In 2000, he founded Madsoul Clothing Company in South Norwalk, Connecticut. Six years later, Drew Pearson Marketing in Dallas, TX acquired Madsoul, leading to the establishment of The Level Four Collective Wholesale Showroom and Sales Agency in New York City. Additionally, Marc is a part-owner of the Fanatics-owned Mitchell & Ness clothing brand, alongside celebrities Jay-Z, Maverick Carter, and Meek Mill.
He has recently been recognized as the father of social media stars Dixie and Charli D'Amelio, whose careers skyrocketed through their charming videos posted on the popular platform, TikTok. Not only do his daughters have a combined following of over 210 million on TikTok, but Marc has his own following of over 10 million on the platform as well.
The D’Amelio family has recently expanded their business ventures with the launch of D’Amelio Brands, starting with D’Amelio Footwear as their first brand. In October, Marc, Heidi, Dixie, and Charli D'Amelio further diversified their portfolio by introducing Be Happy Snacks under D’Amelio Foods, in collaboration with global retailer Walmart.
As a long-time sports enthusiast and UConn supporter, Marc D'Amelio launched the D’Amelio Huskies Collective in 2022. This initiative aims to support UConn student-athletes in monetizing their name, image, and likeness (NIL) through brand building and endorsement opportunities. Once selected to join the collective, D'Amelio mentors the athletes, helping them elevate their personal brands and grow their social media followings. Additionally, he facilitates connections between the student-athletes and companies that align with their interests for potential brand deals.
This past May, Marc D’Amelio announced that he will serve as the General Manager for the Stars of Storrs, an alumni team competing in The Basketball Tournament (TBT). TBT is a summer basketball event with a $1 million grand prize that will air live on FOX Sports. UConn’s all-time leading scorer, Chris Smith, will join him as the team's head coach. The team features former Huskies stars Ryan Boatright, DeAndre Daniels, and Joey Calcaterra, all of whom won national championships during their time at UConn. If the Stars of Storrs wins TBT’s $1 million prize, $100,000 will be donated to the D’Amelio Huskies Collective, an NIL collective exclusively for UConn student-athletes.
