Cameron has more than 17 years of experience leading communications & digital engagement strategies for Fortune 500 companies, the White House, US Congress, political campaigns along with the entertainment and healthcare industries. Currently, he serves as a partner at Spero Studio, a minority-owned integrated communications firm based in Washington, DC. Cameron is the founder of Hip Politics Inc., an organization dedicated to educating, engaging and mobilizing the political power of the Hip-Hop generation and culture.


Currently Cameron is the host of The Hip-Politics Podcast, which provides listeners a front row seat to conversations with elected officials, political heavyweights and hip-hop titans about the opportunities that lie at the intersection of politics and music.

Starting on day one of the Joe Biden presidency, Cameron was appointed and served as President Biden’s White House Director of Digital Engagement. Cameron leveraged digital media publications, celebrity partners and social media influencers to encourage the American people to re-engage with The White House on a daily basis. Cameron and his digital engagement team worked with a range of celebrities and organizations such as Ciara, DJ D-Nice, Olivia Rodrigo, Chris Paul, Devin Booker, NHL stars and NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo to produce tailored digital content that amplified White House messaging. Cameron’s team produced the first-ever White House press briefing with TikTok content creators, which was ultimately spoofed on Saturday Night Live! Following the victory of the 2020 presidential race, Cameron was appointed to serve as the Deputy Digital Director of the Presidential Inauguration Committee for the first fully virtual Presidential Inauguration of 2021. Cameron’s strategy led to the largest digital viewership in history with more than 50 different virtual streaming partners. Due to his leadership, his team produced the most views for a presidential Inauguration in history.

During the 2020 presidential campaign, Cameron played a key role in getting out the Black vote for Joe Biden’s campaign serving as the National Director of African American Paid Media for the Biden For President campaign. He led a record investment African American outreach and advertising program that resulted in record Black voter turnout around the country.

Cameron recently served as the Executive Vice President at Precision Strategies, an award winning communications firm in Washington, DC, focusing on multicultural and digital engagement strategies in service of culture and elevating voices for communities of color. Precision Strategies, 2021 North American SABRE Awards Digital Agency of the Year, is a premiere integrated strategy and marketing agency that led Barack Obama’s election and re-election. During Cameron’s 4 years at the agency he provided communications and digital strategy to corporate and non-profit organizations as well as national advocacy campaigns. He worked with everyone from the NFL and NBA teams, NBA Players Association, Gilead Sciences, Moderna, Goldman Sachs, to the youth led March 4 Our Lives organization, Bank of America, as well as several Hollywood produced motion pictures helping to market movies such as Russell Crowe’s thriller ‘UNHINGED’.

From 2016 to 2017, Cameron served as Senior Public Affairs Director for the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture, generating national and international media opportunities. Cameron also has extensive experience in leading political communications teams on both the federal and state level. Cameron began his career in political communications as a field organizer for the 2008 presidential campaign for Barack Obama. From there Cameron spent several cycles in Congress as a senior aide, and communications director for members of the Congressional Black Caucus and House of Representatives committees.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio and a proud alumni of Howard University, Cameron is committed to serving the Black community. In 2018, Cameron co-founded Men of Color in Communications to address diversity and inclusion across the entire communications industry. Cameron is a proud alumni of Howard University and annually hosts highly anticipated events for Howard Homecoming, raising thousands of dollars in charitable contributions for the university. In 2023 he was appointed to the Board of Visitors for Howard University's Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts.
