Susan Leland provides research insights to support NPR’s corporate sponsorship and development efforts as well as NPR brand development. Recent work has included research on the role of radio in media consumption, impact of sponsorship on brand image, effectiveness of public radio sponsorship vs. commercial media advertising, and NPR brand reach and positioning. Prior to joining NPR, Susan worked in consumer insights at Discovery Communications and at the research consulting firm, Lieberman Research Worldwide.

Susan received her BS in Marketing from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo and a Master's degree in Information Studies from the University of Maryland
