Preeti Varathan is the Head of 30 for 30 Podcasts at ESPN. She is an award-winning journalist and showrunner with a track record of producing highly-reported, hit audio documentaries that span subjects from political radicalization to criminal justice to sports history. Her work has been recognized by the prestigious Deadline Club Awards and The Society for Professional Journalists, and this year, she was named a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Audio Reporting. Preeti is a proud member of the South Asian LGBTQIA+ community and is committed to fostering diverse voices in her stories and on her teams. She graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Economics and Mathematics and has reported for The Atlantic, NPR, Vanity Fair, and NBC.
